Walk the Line (2005) Voll Streaming

If Walk the Line isn't the full story of Johnny Cash, it's at least a crucial corner of it, a way of coaxing a legend down to a human scale, without shrinking that legend away to nothingness.. Walk the Line leaves you feeling an unusual sensation, at least as far as current movies go: You feel as if you've gotten your money's worth when it comes to entertainment and drama.. A passionate, warts-and-all chronicle of an extraordinary American artist, not to mention a love story that can't be beat.....
0358273

Cliched literary trappings come together in "Stuck in Love," but the final product feels more like a footnote than a finished work.. A passionate, warts-and-all chronicle of an extraordinary American artist, not to mention a love story that can't be beat.. Joaquin Phoenix isn't Johnny Cash. But with the clip-clop of rhythms behind him, aiming his guitar like a gun, he puts on one sensational show..
Cannon doesn't go in for rococo hipster badinage in the vein of Diablo Cody. She can pare down a joke to its essence .... What helps offset the predictable in this very predictable movie is a series of show-stopping numbers, so props to the folks who oversaw music and choreography. But the true saving grace is a few of the central players.. The girls, for the most part, are genuinely funny, weird, real, and, most excitingly, confident..
If you're thinking 'yuck,' you're right.. The movie does a very good job of capturing the teens and their times. Everything feels right, from the ups-and-downs of late '80s rock, to the way kids really behaved.. The first time I saw Yes Man, I thought the concept was getting kind of stale toward the end.
Unlike the novel, which you can set aside and take a break, with the film version of Revolutionary Road, you're in for the duration, and it's ultimately too much to take..
